Onward & Upward

2014 started poorly and I always thought it could only get better from there. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always happen. When you think things can’t get any worse, sometimes they do. I hit sort of a new low a few days ago. On the bright side, I’m still here, pushing along.

There has however been a silver lining. I recently got back into the freelance web design game and pretty quickly picked up some interest. Just yesterday I completed one of the projects. I helped an expat blogger in Oman move from a Google Blogger site to her very own self hosted website. The project involved; domain, hosting, design and SEO. She already had a great blog and it was time for a bit of a makeover and a polished domain name to go with.

The blog is now WordPress based. This can represent a bit of a learning curve for the end user, but with the right kind of assistance, makes things a lot simpler.
